About Us: Our Journey

AEDSTART's inception stems from Rashwan Zewkaei's realization of the alarming lack of AEDs in Iraq and Kurdistan. Inspired by his Kurdish heritage and Danish upbringing, Rashwan partnered with Lars Maron of Cardiocare Scandinavia, a pioneer in Danish AED initiatives. Together, they established AEDSTART in Arbil, Kurdistan, with a shared mission to save lives.
